Built with at least one partner who hosts us and, the Ad Hoc Encounters are all very different from one another and usually organised over a day on the occasion of a performance or a key event proposed by the hosting partner. 

Throughout the season, we strive to cover all disciplines of performing arts but on each occasion we suggest a discussion theme which is cross-disciplinary so that the participants’ expertise and viewpoints can interact. In addition, each encounter finds time for a discussion on shows recently seen.

The Ad Hoc Encounters are mainly open to performing arts programmers, regardless of whether they work in a programming venue or for a festival. Other professionals from the cultural sector are welcome (performers, producers, policy makers, etc.) on condition that the encounters are considered forums for debate and sharing, and not a marketplace.
